Please join the Center for Supportive Schools (CSS) on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, to learn more about how you can implement effective school-based peer mentoring programs at your school.

This informational event will be held at the Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. You will have the opportunity to hear from students and faculty who have participated in the following programs: 

  • Peer Group Connection (PGC)an evidence based, school-based program that supports and eases students' successful transitions into middle and high school by tapping into the power of older students to create a nurturing environment for incoming students.

Students and faculty will share how their experiences with these programs has: 

  • transformed school culture and climate;
  • improved attendance;
  • reduced disciplinary infractions;
  • cultivated a climate of school connectedness; and
  • increased students' Social-Emotional Learning.
